Inspect the delivery carefully
Laptop screens are very fragile by their nature. At the core of most LCD screens there are two glass panes less than 1mm thick that are fused together at the edges to hold the liquid crystal solution within. We rely on the service of couriers and postal institutions to deliver these fragile items across vast distances. Despite the fragile nature of the LCDs, 99.79% of orders arrive to our customers in great condition. We insure all our shipments and we cover our customers against the potential loss due to courier mishandling.
What happens when an item arrives damaged? Usually there are tell-tale signs of mishandling right on the box. We use brand new packaging materials for every order. If the box looks like it went around the world a few times, it could indicate that the item within may be damaged. Please keep all the packaging materials, box, label, documentation until the new LCD has been installed. If it turns out that the LCD is cracked through shipping contact our support department to report the damage. In most cases where the damage has been reported with-in 2 days of receipt and all of the packaging is kept a replacement item has been dispatched with-in 1 day. Couriers may wish to inspect and/or collect the damaged item and packaging at a later date.
What to do if your item arrives damaged:
- Report delivery damage with-in 2 days to support
- Keep all packaging: box, label, documentation
- Have the damaged item and packaging available for 30 days after receipt
